Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of unostrich.com (the "Site") and your purchase of the services described below. "UnOstrich," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the business operating the Site. By using the Site or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. If you are booking on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.

1. The services

We offer six services:

• The Consult ($89): a thirty minute phone call. You bring a workflow and your questions; you leave with a direct assessment of whether AI can take the work, an approximate running cost, and a recommended starting point.
• The Audit ($1,989): a three hour remote working session with your operation, followed by a written plan identifying where AI pays at your company, estimated monthly running costs per workflow, and what to skip.
• UnOstrich U ($499 for individuals; $350 with an active “open to work” banner on your LinkedIn profile at the time of booking, verified before the session; $750 per employee for companies): a thirty minute one on one AI training session by video call, built around the participant’s actual work. The open-to-work rate is one session per person and may not be combined with other credits. UnOstrich U also offers The Reality Check ($44): an online self-assessment quiz scoring how exposed a specific job is to current AI capability, delivered with cited evidence and suggested next steps. Quiz results are informational estimates, not career or employment advice.
• The Enterprise Briefing ($500): a thirty minute phone call for teams about to sign — or already holding — an enterprise AI contract: a plain-English breakdown of the commitments, token budgets, rate limits, and data handling terms, with a recommended metering setup before go-live.
• The Tokenomics Dashboard ($2,500 build, then $200 per month): a standing AI spend reconciliation dashboard covering your AI vendor bills, contracts, and metered usage, delivered remotely, with monthly upkeep (data pulls, statement captures, verified backups, and renewal and credit alerts). Upkeep continues month to month until canceled.
• Forward Deployed Services: an embedded build engagement, typically one to two months. Forward Deployed Services are scoped, priced, and governed by a separate written agreement. These Terms cover the Site, the Consult, the Audit, the Enterprise Briefing, UnOstrich U, and the Tokenomics Dashboard.

2. Booking and payment

Prices are in U.S. dollars. Payment for the Consult and the Audit is collected online through Stripe's hosted checkout; the Tokenomics Dashboard build and monthly upkeep are collected through Stripe checkout or by invoice. Card details are provided directly to Stripe and never touch our Site or our systems. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction. A booking is confirmed when payment completes and a time is scheduled. Every booking also requires a valid LinkedIn profile URL at the time of booking; bookings without one will not be scheduled.

3. The consult credit

If you purchase a Consult and book an Audit within 30 days of the Consult taking place, the $89 you paid is credited against the Audit price. The credit is applied through a discounted payment link or promotion code we provide. One credit per client, not transferable, no cash value.

4. Rescheduling, cancellation, and refunds

• Consult, Enterprise Briefing, and UnOstrich U sessions: you may reschedule at no charge with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations requested before the call takes place receive a full refund. No shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are not refunded.
• The Reality Check quiz: refundable until you start the quiz; non refundable once results are delivered.
• Audit: you may reschedule or cancel with a full refund up to 5 business days before the scheduled session. Inside 5 business days, we will reschedule once at no charge; amounts paid are otherwise non refundable once the session begins.
• Tokenomics Dashboard: the build fee is refundable in full before work begins and non refundable once the dashboard is delivered. Monthly upkeep is billed in advance and may be canceled by either party effective at the end of the current monthly period; months already billed are not refunded. On cancellation you keep the dashboard, your data, and the documentation to run it.
• Our cancellations: if we cancel and cannot offer a reasonable alternative date, you receive a full refund.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information about your business and workflows, to arrange reasonable access to the people and systems relevant to the engagement, and to designate someone with authority to make decisions. Deliverables are prepared for your internal business use; you are responsible for the decisions you make based on them.

6. AI disclosures

Our services involve large language models and related AI systems. You acknowledge that:

• AI generated output can contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Our practice is to test output and to keep a human review step in workflows, and you should do the same before relying on any AI output in your business.
• Cost and savings figures, including the calculator on the Site and estimates in deliverables, are illustrative estimates based on stated assumptions, not guarantees. Actual AI usage costs and business results vary.
• Tools deployed in your environment may be provided by third party AI vendors whose own terms and data practices apply, which we will identify during an engagement.
• We do not guarantee any specific business outcome, cost saving, or revenue result.

7. Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other's non public business information disclosed during an engagement, use it only for the engagement, and not disclose it to third parties except as required by law. We do not use your confidential business data to train publicly available AI models. Where an engagement requires stricter terms, the parties may sign a separate confidentiality agreement, which will control.

8. Intellectual property

Upon full payment, you own the deliverables we prepare specifically for you, including the written audit plan. We retain ownership of our pre existing materials, tools, templates, methods, and general know how, and we grant you a perpetual, non exclusive license to use anything of ours that is embedded in your deliverables for your internal business purposes. We may describe engagements in anonymized form; we will not name you as a client without your consent.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

We perform services in a professional and workmanlike manner. Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Site and services are provided "as is," and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of the Site or the services is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Relationship

We are an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms, and each party consents to venue there.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Changes apply prospectively; the version in effect when you book a service governs that booking.
